Good Leadership
Don’t walk in front of me, I may not follow;
Don’t walk behind me, I may not lead;
Just walk beside me, and be my friend.” Albert Camus

Albert Camus, the French writer from the last century,
helps us to an inspiring vision of the ideal leader. His
description of this leader would help politicians, parents
and teachers today. The greatest influence comes
through friendship. It is worth reflecting that God
Himself discovered that His articulate brave prophets
and kings failed to have the desired impact on His
people. In the end it was His Son, Jesus, walking beside
people of all types and becoming their friend, who saved
the world.

Prayer

The gift of Speech is a wonderful gift.
May I use this gift with kindness.
May I be slow to utter harsh words,
Hurtful words and words spoken in anger
Scared Space
God longs for us. We long for God. We are designed to
partner with God because we are created in love. We
join in the dance of prayer because the very fibre of our
being—who we truly are, not who we think we ought to
be— is made for this Penny Warren

Spirit of God

Restore in us the beauty of your likeness
Through the discovery of our true belonging
As children of our heavenly Father;
And reawaken within us our original calling
To proclaim your glory and care for your cre4ation
As sisters and brothers of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Jesus invites us to follow Him But a discipleship is a
radical call which requires our whole-hearted response
It involves taking up one’s cross each day and following Him.

Contrast the total commitment of Jesus to do his father’s will

With the ‘pre-conditions’ and qualifications which we
can make in response to His call to each one of us

Julian of Norwich wrote

God of your goodness, give us Yourself!
For if we ask for anything, which is less
We shall always be in want!
Only in You we have all.!
