Thy Kingdom Come 2020 (21st May to 31st May)
Ascension Day saw the launch of Thy Kingdom Come, a global prayer movement where the Archbishop of Canterbury is inviting Christians everywhere to light up the world in prayer.
The wave of prayer starts on Ascension Day, 21st May and runs until Pentecost, 31st May. During this time, there are many ways to get involved. In previous years we have held Midday Prayer each day in a different church around the benefice, but with our buildings closed we are not able to do that this year. However, there will be daily prompts on Facebook at midday so we can unite in prayer. There is also a Prayer Journal which you can download and print. This takes you through daily reflections, prayers and actions to help you focus and give you ideas.
As part of Thy Kingdom Come, Bishop Graham invites everyone to join him for daily Compline at 9pm. For more information please click on this link: https://www.dioceseofnorwich.
Prayer is not complicated. It is a conversation between you and God and can happen anywhere and at anytime. He is always listening. However, prayer is powerful and as we join together we hope to light up the world in prayer.
