Words of Light and Hope October 6th 2024   Trinity 19   Sue Page LLM

Prayer for October 6th

O God, forasmuch as without you We are not able to please you, Mercifully grant that Your Holy Spirit May in all things direct and rule our hearts; Through Jesus Christ our Lord Who is alive and reigns with You In the unity of the Holy Spirit One God forever and ever! Amen

Valuable truth in words

The most wonderful thing is unity with Jesus and with the Father. In Jesus we shall partake in God if we firmly resist and flee all the arrogant attacks of the prince of this world. Unity of prayer, unity of supplication, unity of mind, unity of expectancy in love and in blameless joy: this is Jesus Christ and there is nothing greater than he. Flock together, all of you, as to one temple of God, as to one altar, to one Jesus Christ, who proceeded from the one Father, who is in the one and returned to the one.               Saint Ignatius Loyola

“For me to Pray is to Wait!!’

Brother Roger founder of the Taize Community You don’t need to create your own Hope The sky is full of it. Wake up early one day [I dare you] and watch the sun rise. Watch how it encourages The earth To become itself…only more so, Watch how it allows all things [even the sad beings] to be colourful and beautiful, then listen,  listen as it says, quietly, undoubtedly, “we begin again!  Gideo Heugh Tearfund
